Our Story
In 2011, Chris Schutrups laid the foundation for The Mortgage Hut. Shortly after, recognising the specific needs of police officers, he introduced Police Mortgages as a dedicated arm of the business!
Chris, a former police constable with Hampshire Constabulary, brings firsthand understanding to our services. Over the years, our team has expanded to include 20 advisers, with 7 specialising in Police Mortgages.
Our outreach extends to 23 Police Federations across the UK. Our commitment is unwavering – we’re passionate about assisting officers. Whether it’s finding the right mortgage or providing tailored advice, we’re here to support as many of your members as possible.
